The tour leader will take you on foot along a breathtaking historical route, which will take you from the ancient fortress of Castel Sant’Angelo to St. Peter’s Square with the Basilica built by Gian Lorenzo Bernini. In this way you can admire in all its majesty the Basilica of St. Peter*, with its famous dome 133 meters high.
After a stop of about an hour and a half, you will return to your bus to start the panoramic tour by bus of Rome along the Tiber. You will follow the river near the Tiber Island to head first to the Pyramid of Cestious and then to the Baths of Caracalla.
The panoramic route is not finished here, because you will admire the Basilica of San Giovanni in Laterano and the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, and then the Colosseum, the Circus Maximus and the Mouth of Truth. Definitely one of the best itineraries to visit Rome on a bus!
Then, the bus will leave you in Via Petroselli, where you will start the walking route through the picturesque streets of the city centre. You will leave from the Theatre of Marcellus and continue up until Piazza del Campidoglio (headquarter of the City Hall of the Capital) and Piazza Venezia, where the imposing Altar of the Fatherland stands.
At this point your tour leader will take you to the most famous baroque fountain in the world to honor the rite of the three coins: the Trevi Fountain.
After the stop at the Fountain you will have about 1h30 of free time to eat and take a walk in peace to the Pantheon and Piazza Navona, to admire its beautiful fountains.

Anne –
This was a good tour of Rome, covering many of the main sights and at a significantly lower cost than excursions offered by our cruise company. Definitely recommended for anyone wanting to get to Rome from Civitavecchia.
Sam –
Would have been better if the toilets on the bus were working. Other than that, fantastic value for money. Lovely air conditioned coach.
Dennis –
The tour was well organized. The bus was modern and comfortable, and the trip of about an hour and a half to Rome was pleasant.
Overall, it is a good choice for a quick, stress-free overview of Rome’s main sights.
